In response to the Planning Application submitted by William Davis Ltd., on our Greenbelt land, Radcliffe on Trent Parish Council have scheduled an Extra-Ordinary meeting for Wednesday, 11th December at 7pm.
The strong feeling continues and at the Radcliffe Community meeting of Thurs, 5th December there was a decisive demand to hear what our Councillors have to say on the subject, particularly given that they are there to represent the views of our community. This meeting will represent your opportunity to challenge your councillors on this and to request a response to the issues that were raised in our community discussions on Thursday evening.
This doesn't just impact upon members of Radcliffe on Trent, but all of those who use the A52 to travel past our village to work. Perhaps most troubled will be members of the Newton community who will face additional years of works traffic travelling through their village. William Davis Ltd.'s existing plans for works traffic to the proposed site has been identified as coming through Newton village.
It would appear that none of these communities have been consulted on these issues.
We will be raising the issue of the timings of these meetings, as at 7pm, many members of our Radcliffe community have complained that they are precluded from attending due to the need to bathe and settle young children to bed.
Please note our reminder for this event below:
Dedicated to providing information of significance to our community in Radcliffe on Trent. Active campaigns include opposition to the development of Shelford Road and RSPCA sites, and support for the Save Shelford Valley campaign.
