A MASSIVE THANK YOU! To Our Community in Radcliffe on Trent

Dear Radcliffe Community members,

First of all we would like to extend an enormous THANK YOU for all of your support and encouraging comments that keep us motivated to fight on your behalf. It goes without saying that huge thanks  are due to The British Legion for allowing us to use their premises. Without our wonderful community spirit at Radcliffe on Trent, the place where we live would be just another Nottinghamshire village. As it stands we have a lot to celebrate, a lot to be proud about and a hell of a lot to fight for.

One of the most powerful things to come out of last night's meeting was a shared effervescent passion for our village community. While we do not all agree on the fine details of the proposed planning development on the village Greenbelt, we found a common ground in which we could share our concerns and fears in a respectful and appreciative manner.

We will continue to fight on your behalf and strive to source relevant information which we will share with our community in Radcliffe on Trent. We do this so that we can each make a more fully informed decision about how this current planning application will affect our lives and directly impact upon our village community.

While our current fight lay with the proposed development for 400 houses at the Shelford Road Farm site, it was agreed that our activities should be extended to incorporate any future plans for large development within our community at Radcliffe on Trent.

We have been able to generate immediate press interest and, in addition to this morning's BBC Radio Nottingham feature, The Nottingham Post are also looking to cover our story in Monday's edition of the paper. While there will be copies of the presentation and an audio account on the website shortly, in the meantime we are focusing our energy on preparing materials for Monday's Nottingham Post feature.

Our local community at Radcliffe on Trent is our inspiration, and we would like to wholeheartedly thank each and every one of you for all of the support and well wishes that we have received.

Small steps to achieve a big movement.

Much love,
Clair, Rebecca, Jason and Kerry
