3.30pm at The Trent today photo for Monday's Nottingham Post

I hope that you can meet us at The Trent for a photo today. We are probably going to move from there to have a photo taken in one of the gardens on Clumber Drive as they are looking for a shot of us next to the Greenbelt.

Hope to see you there!

Nottingham Post want your views... today!

Nottingham Post are looking for quotes from members of our community and their feelings about the plans to build on our Greenbelt. If anyone would like to add their feelings to the article, please either post your views here or on the Facebook page. Inbox us on Facebook with your phone numbers or email them to us at: radcliffecommunity@gmail.com and Emily from the Post will give you a call. Or you could do all of the above ;) as it would be great to have a record on the various sites too.

Get your lippy on and stick a comb through your hair - The Nottingham Post are running our story

The Nottingham Post are running a story on us on Monday. They have just called to book us in. A photographer is coming over to The Trent on Shelford Road at 3.30pm tomorrow, Fri, 9th August 2013.

He is hoping to get a photo of our Greenbelt with Grumpy citizens in it, children included.

My garden doesn't have the best view of the greenbelt, but we can use it if needs be (top end of Clumber Drive). If anyone is willing to let us use their garden, or has a better idea for the shot, please shout up!

If anyone has got a better view of the devastation, and are willing to let us round the back into your garden, please get in touch ASAP.

It would be great if we could all meet outside The Trent at 3.30pm tomorrow Fri 9th August 2013. The more the merrier! Please share amongst members of our community.

Important Update: For anyone wishing to assist Radcliffe Community Plan Steering Group with Data Input

It would appear that we made a boob!

If anyone wishes to help out the guys from the Radcliffe Community Plan Steering Group with their data input, it would be good if you could contact Sue Clegg on: sue.clegg3@ntlworld.com
or alternatively drop her a text on: 07952 912183. They are preferably looking for help from those with experience of data input.

Please do NOT contact Radcliffe on Trent Parish Council as originally posted.

However, any help would be gratefully received as they have a huge task ahead of them and it is all for the good of our community.

Meeting Update: Wow, what a turn out!

We have achieved critical mass!

Many thanks to all of the wonderful members of the Radcliffe on Trent community who attended last night's meeting. There were well over a hundred people in attendance and we filled The Trent! (If anyone took any pictures, it would be great to have an image for the site). What an awesome force we are as a group. The Trent have kindly allowed us to hold future meetings with them, and currently the plan is for the last Wednesday of the month. An update will follow on this in the near future.

Together we are a powerful force

Apologies to those who couldn't hear well at the back. Slides with audio will be posted on the site later on this evening (the day job calls today). Updates will be posted in the post office window and library noticeboard on Monday for those members of our community without internet access. Until then, please do share the issues that we discussed and reassure members of our community that their concerns are being raised.

We will be consolidating all of the ideas and concerns raised last night and sharing these with you all. Once that is complete, we will be looking for volunteers to head up interest groups to look at the specific areas of concern that were raised last night, and that matter to us most as a community. It was great to see so many of you offer your services, so please do get stuck in, in any capacity.

Get stuck in!

It became apparent, very quickly, that there are a whole range of issues that we need to look at. We are in this for the long haul, but we are united in the love we have for our village, so let's translate this passion into action! There will be lots of opportunities to get stuck in.

We will be looking to work closely with our Radcliffe on Trent Parish Council in the near future and the same goes for the members of the Radcliffe on Trent Community Group, but in the meantime, the Radcliffe Community Plan Steering Group (who work independently from Radcliffe on Trent Parish Council) are looking for volunteers to do some data entry for the Radcliffe on Trent Community Plan.

This data will be used by the Radcliffe Community Plan Steering Group and will form a huge part of their action on behalf of the Radcliffe on Trent community. Eventually it is anticipated that Radcliffe on Trent Parish Council may use some of the data generated to assist in conducting their own Neighbourhood Plan.

The Radcliffe Community Plan Steering Group had a huge response to the survey (53% which in survey response terms, is gargantuan) and they now face an equally huge task of inputting all of that data, so that it can be used to fight for our village and represent the views of our community.

If anyone with experience of data entry is able to help, then please contact, Sue Clegg, the Chair of the Radcliffe Community Plan Steering Group at the following email address: sue.clegg3@ntlworld.com or drop here a quick text to get involved on: 07952 912183

Once all data has been inputted, the Radcliffe Community Plan Steering Group will distribute copies of the Community Plan to all households within Radcliffe On Trent.
